Recycling plastic saves twice as much energy as it takes to burn it. Sherpani bags are made from 100% recycled materials, including plastic bottles.
Every product in Sherpani’s Essentials collection is made from 100% recycled materials. Their recycled fabric is produced from certified Repreve fabrics, which is a textile that turns discarded plastic bottles into soft, durable fabric. Repreve has transformed more than 12 billion bottles into remarkable fabrics used by millions of people with an outdoor lifestyle and an affinity for nature.
45% of Sherpani’s product assortment is made from 100% recycled materials. By choosing sustainable, recovered materials, you help reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills, as well as conserving natural resources such as timber, water, and minerals.
Each bag is crafted in Boulder, Colorado, using sustainable and recycled materials.
Sherpani owners, Maria and Ed Ruzic, founded the Blue Verve Project in 2009 as an initiative to incorporate recycled fabrics that would look good, work great, and help relieve some of the plastic pressure on the world’s oceans.
Sherpani bags are sustainably designed to go beyond fashion, to function throughout customers’ everyday lives and outlast the trends. The design process also ensures that patterns and cut pieces minimize fabric waste.
